Innovation has many enemies in a newsroom. The job of reporting the day's news is a tough one. Budgets are always tight. Technology changes all the time. In this session, we'll go over strategies to structure and pitch a new idea within a newsroom: a new software tool, an app, a section, a blog. Then, we'll break into groups to start sketching out the idea, and we'll finish by presenting ideas to the room. Ideas created here could be refined further — or built out — during the hackathaon.
